you know how i always loved these shades of sand. but this time it was really an excuse to wear this wonderful coat. it is a gift my husband gave me long time ago, and that i have so little use here in california. so on the first cold day of the year, i took it out and dressed up to wear it.
my friend and colleague Marianna said it right, that's a serious coat.

it is probably my last occasion this year to wear plaid. in just a week or so, all i will be obsessed with is spring. i found that set a few years ago in a goodwill, the skirt was then knee-length and i never really felt like wearing it. so last weekend i cut the skirt to a mini, and i am just hating myself for not doing it earlier.

it's a new year, it is cold and i can feel that this year will be full of challenges. but i feel good.
i wrote down my wish list and went down for a long walk with the pup, as much as i hate NYE, i do love the 1st. it is fresh again.
